An interesting game for us on Monday night, with the Indianapolis Colts looking to bounce back against another AFC East team with a strong defence and running game. However, it’s not the Jets’ running game I want to focus on. It’s their WRs and specifically Eric Decker, who I’ll be backing him to go Over 55.5 receiving yards in this game at 10/11 with SkyBet.

A strange choice you would think given that Decker is their #2 WR and was only targeted three times in their Week 1 game against the Browns. However, I do believe this is a good matchup for Decker to put up some decent numbers.

For starters, even though he was only targeted three times in the previous game, he caught two of those for 37 yards. Secondly, the way the game went against the Browns – with the Jets up by a couple of scores early in the second-half – meant that RB Chris Ivory saw a lot of the ball as they looked to close out the game.

My other reasoning behind this pick is within the Colts secondary. CB Vontae Davis is an excellent player, who held the Bills #1 WR Sammy Watkins to zero receptions last week, and will likely take Jets #1 Brandon Marshall – hopefully allowing Decker with a lot more targets.

Decker has also played a lot out of the slot position so far and if that continues in this game, it would likely leave him being covered by Darius Butler who is just not as good as Davis and was responsible for Bills WR Percy Harvin’s long TD last week.

I believe that these factors make 56 yards an attainable target for Decker in this game.
