TOM LOVE (@TomLove_18) shares his view on the best bets ahead of Tuesday night's action involving Inter Milan and Napoli in Serie A.

Inter Milan vs Napoli | Tuesday 28th July 2020, 20:45 | Premier Sports

Juventus wrapped up the Serie A title on Sunday night as they defeated Sampdoria in Turin. For a long time it looked like the race for the Scudetto would go to the wire with Atalanta, Lazio and Inter Milan all in with a sniff. It’s a shame from a neutrals point of view but the Old Lady kept her head when others were losing theirs.

Antonio Conte has become almost a parodic figure this season with his incessant moaning, almost Mourinho-esque. His latest tirade has surrounded the lack of spacing between games for his Inter side since the restart, I mean it’s not like he has a massive squad to call on to be honest…

All in all though the former Chelsea gaffer has done well this season, reaffirming the Nerazzuri as a force to be taken seriously for the league championship. They’ve been especially impressive at the San Siro, they’re undefeated in 13 of their last 14 on home soil. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez are great strikers and fit the Conte 5-3-2 well with Christian Eriksen in a free role behind the duo.

Inter will be without centre half Stefan De Vrij here though whilst midfielders Stefano Sensi, Matias Vecino and Roberto Gagliardini are out through injury or suspension. Luckily for Conte that’s an area where they’re well stacked with Borja Valero, Nico Barella, Marcelo Brozovic and Eriksen.

Former Premier League duo Victor Moses and Ashley Young could get spots in the wing back berths too. What could be lacking for Il Biscione is motivation. The top four is already wrapped up so there’s not too much for them to play for in all honesty.

Napoli have already secured their own passage to Europe via the Coppa Italia triumph under the tutelage of Gennaro Gattuso. The Partenopei sit seventh in Serie A, one spot behind Milan, but I don't expect the visitors' boss to allow any sort of slack-off from Napoli here. I think the Partenopei will go for it and that should make it a fun game.

I do fancy Both Teams To Score but so do the bookies with it as short as 8/13, however if we head to Bet365’s BetBuilder and add Napoli to have Over 2 Corners we can get some 10/11 and that’s a much more appetising prospect.

The Naples-based club love a pop at goal, only Atalanta average more shots per game than Napoli (18.3). That usually means corners via saves and deflections. There will be space behind the Inter wing backs to exploit as well.

I’ll also pop into the shots market on that note as we can get a lovely looking 11/10 on the visitors' recording 13 or more shots with Skybet and that’s of great interest with more on the line for Gattuso’s men.

Inter concede on average 11.8 shots per game this season, to me this looks like it’s been priced up wrong as little consideration has gone into their opponents. I’ll also chance the 11/2 on them to attempt 17 or more shots, something they managed recently against European challengers Roma and Milan.

In fact they’ve had at least 17 shots in six of their last seven games! That recent record makes the 11/2 against a team with nothing to play for simply too big.

I’m also having a tickle on them to attempt 20 or more shots at a huge 22/1. It’s landed in recent games against Roma, Sassuolo and Udinese, it only missed out by one in their match with Parma too. If I were to do a staking system I’d go with a 70/20/10 split over the respective ascending lines.

I was first interested in the betting industry by doing the odd coupon at 18 - when I’d see a team at odds I didn’t expect it sparked my curiosity as to why that was. I’d go and research everything around that club: form, team news, manager quotes, and try give my own price in an aim to out-do the bookies. I personally enjoy punting on the Football League and European competitions. I like to diversify what markets I bet on so sometimes it’s outrights, goals, player cards etc. The Football League angle comes from being an avid Bradford City fan which has its ups (reaching a League Cup final and beating Chelsea in the FA Cup) and its downs (The entirety of 2018). Hobbies of mine include playing football, cross country running, travelling and playing Football Manager.
