DAILY RECORD star Mr Fixit (@mrfixitstips) picks out his best bet for Scotland's friendly fixture at Hungary on Tuesday night.

I hate pointless internationals and Scotland’s clash against Costa Rica last week was a case in point.

After Alex McLeish revealed his starting XI I told anyone listening in the office – to be fair I’m usually ignored – to back Costa Rica.

Big Eck’s side contained too many debutants and was too experimental to test the World Cup finalists but the result didn’t matter so criticism was over the top.

On Tuesday McLeish may include fewer youngsters in Hungary and again the advice is to hold back betting until just before kick-off.

From last week’s squad Grant Hanley, Matt Ritchie and Scott McTominay have returned to their clubs while new skipper Charlie Mulgrew could be used sparingly with Blackburn in action on Thursday.

The Hungarians are in disarray and Friday’s 3-2 home defeat to Kazakhstan was a shocker. Scotland should win it but the best bet could be to back Scotland draw no bet at 26/25 with Marathon.

For the straight win we are 19-10 at Bet365 while Hungary are flimsy favourites at 17/10 with Bet365.
