Horse Racing: Thursday’s NAP arrives from Chelmsford

RACING judge RACING fan Josh Jones (@TheRacingJones) shares his daily NAP with his best Thursday bet arriving from Chelmsford.

7.30 Chelmsford | Thursday 24th October 2019

Bardo Contiguo  (10/3 William, Hill) has been gelded recently and is a lightly raced three-year-old who made an excellent and gutsy impression in a handicap contest at Ayr last time out when winning at Class 5 level. He won by just a head in the end, but got held up slightly so with a clear run he would win with much more in-hand.

He receives a 6lb rise here which looks fair as there is more to come. He was supposed to run over at Brighton a short while ago, but the racing there was cancelled due to the weather and ground concerns by jockeys and trainers.

He’s in very good hands here under Andrea Atzeni, trainer by Roger Varian, and looks very progressive judging on this season's form.

Reine De Vitesse comes into handicap company as a threat after winning by a large margin last time out, but comes in on a higher mark.
