Horse Racing: Monday’s NAP arrives via Pontefract

RACING judge RACING fan Josh Jones (@TheRacingJones) shares his daily NAP with his best Monday bet arriving from Pontefract.

3.50 Pontefract | Monday 21st October 2019

This is an interesting contest with quite a few potential improvers in the race.

Grand Rock (15/8 William Hill) will appreciate this stuff track and the heavier ground. He won both starts over a mile trip on more testing ground, only winning by around a neck last time out, but he went ahead with plenty in-hand and was eased down though towards the end of the race. This was also a Class 2 contest.

King Carney has also won at Class 2 standard, but did look driven out towards the end. The aim for him looks to be tougher contests than this and has just about the best form on offer in the race.

Meanwhile, William Haggas has a 23% strike rate with horses running between 7f and 10f.

Best Bets

3:50 Pontefract – Grand Rock (15/8 William Hill)
