The less said about Thursday's NAP the better. There was a massive drift throughout the day and the performance proved why that was the case.

Friday's a new day and I have another great selection for you with Beni Light (15/8 William Hill) in the 2:50 from Ffos Las.

This horse has been the model of consistency since joining David Rees this season. A former Tom Geroge horse in late 2017 to early 2018, he had a spell pointing at the start of the year and was in great form. Winning twice and coming second out of five point races, he was then snapped up by Rees and has done very well for Pembrokeshire-based trainer.

With the very good and consistent form figures of 12232 this season, he is certainly the one to beat. His jumping is not the best at times but he makes up for it with his power and assertive running towards home.

Very versatile where the ground is concerned, he has run on good and soft this year so far, but his only win coming on good ground. It shouldn't be an issue here being on the soft as he has placed a few times on it.

The booking of last Saturday's BetVictor Gold Cup winning jockey Richard Patrick on-board certainly catches the eye, especially with his 3lb claim. He is certainly a jockey enjoying his riding at the minute and with the momentum still in his sails from Saturday, he can steer this horse back to victory.

With the booking of an in-form claimer and how consistent this horse is, he will be very hard to beat back with his favourable trip of 2m4f. Rees has found the perfect Class 4 race to get this horse back in the Winners Enclosure.
