Europa League and Europa Conference League Play-Off Prediction & Betting Tips

SCOTTISH football aficionado Gerry Taylor (@thefurlongpole) shares his verdict on Thursday night's Europa League and Europa Conference play-off matches involving the Old Firm.

Bodo/Glimt vs Celtic | Thursday 24th February 2020, 17:45 | BT Sport

Bodo are hot favourites here to progress, however, I don’t expect Ange Postecoglou’s Hoops to go out with a whimper.

Celtic will attack from the start to try and claw back the deficit from the 3-1 defeat in the first leg at Parkhead, and whilst I fancy them to score here, Glimt were most impressive on the counter in Glasgow, and I can see them troubling the visitors defence once again, – a back line that didn’t look watertight at the weekend against bottom of the league Dundee.

This game screams goals, as both should score, and not for the first time a high-scoring Celtic away European game would not surprise.

Rangers vs Borussia Dortmund | Thursday 24th February 2020, 20:00 | BT Sport

Rangers were excellent in their 4-2 victory in the Westfalenstadion, and Ibrox will be raucous for the second leg. However, this tie is very much still in the melting pot, and the bad news for the hosts is that Erling Haaland is back in training with Dortmund.

This promises to be a cracker, and should be a bit of a basketball game, as Rangers wont want to sit in and defend this lead. I expect both teams to score here, once again, and lots of goals could be also on the menu in Govan.

Best Bets
