Euro 2012 | Group B: Denmark v Portugal

Both these sides emerged with credit after the opening round of fixtures but while Portugal still lost to Germany, Denmark enjoyed a fabulous 1-0 win over Holland. You would think a win like that might earn them some respect from the bookmakers but that’s not the case.

Portugal are as short as 5/6 to win this fixture and the theory behind that would seem to be that Portugal HAVE to win this game to stay in Euro 2012. But as we know, football doesn’t work like that. Denmark will be a hard team for the Portuguese to beat. They HAD to beat them back in October last year to qualify automatically for Euro 2012 and lost 2-1. The Danes finished above them in qualifying so why can’t they beat them again tonight?

Denmark are as big as 4/1 to win tonight which is too big but we’ll play it safe by backing the EVENS with BWin that the 100% Danes avoid defeat tonight against Portugal in their Double Chance market (Draw or Denmark). Betting is all about the odds and the odds on Denmark are too generous so let’s take advantage.

Key Facts

  • Denmark stunned Holland 1-0 on Saturday
