The Stayers Hurdle is the highlight of Day 3 and with a field of 15 it's the largest of the Championship races.
Paisley Park returns to try regain his crown and arrives on the back of a gutsy win last time out. He's the one to beat here and is likely to be involved at the business end but I've taken him on.
Sire Du Berlais is a horse who is seen at his best at the track and from three visits he has a place and two Pertemps Hurdle victories to his name. He has improved dramatically in the last year or so and is now a legitimate grade 1 stayer.
He has been aimed at this all year and comes into this race the second highest rated behind the favourite. Hailing from a yard that know exactly how to have him trained to the second at Cheltenham I think he may have too much for Paisley Park and cap a remarkable rise through the ranks.

Best Bets

15:05 Stayers Hurdle – Sire Du Berlais (5/1 William Hill)

About Author

I grew up watching Hearts games with my dad and playing football at every opportunity so betting on it was the logical next step! Football coupons became a Saturday ritual and it introduced me into the world of horse racing. I started watching it on a regular basis, and after Galileo's Derby win in 2001 I was hooked. I follow both flat and national hunt racing attending the northern meetings when possible.
