The County Hurdle is the big betting race of the day and one of the few handicaps of the seasons I look forward to. It's a typically wide open race however there is one here who may appreciate the drop in company from Grade 1 races.
Aramon (8/1 Bet365) has spent his last seven starts in Grade 1 company and drops into handicaps here. He has a big weight but he shapes like a horse who will appreciate the test of a handicap more than a graded race. He's not short of pace, is still relatively unexposed and could use this as a return ticket to the big leagues.

About Author

I grew up watching Hearts games with my dad and playing football at every opportunity so betting on it was the logical next step! Football coupons became a Saturday ritual and it introduced me into the world of horse racing. I started watching it on a regular basis, and after Galileo's Derby win in 2001 I was hooked. I follow both flat and national hunt racing attending the northern meetings when possible.
