SUNDAY night sees Bayern Munich meet PSG in the Champions League final and we asked Jack Lambden (@_JackL_) to pick out the best props-based plays ahead of their showpiece showdown.

In what is expected to be a classic Champions League final, there’s plenty of opportunities to find some value in the player prop markets. I’ve done some digging and picked out some selections below.

  • Neymar 1+ Offside (11/10 PokerStars)
  • Neymar 2+ Offsides (11/2 PokerStars)

PSG’s star man Neymar has really stepped up to the plate in the last couple of rounds to lead the charge for his teammates in reaching their first ever Champions League final.

Although the playmaker has been deployed on the left wing for the majority of his time in Paris and throughout his career, he has started centrally in his last two matches as the striker in a forward three with Edison Cavani out injured.

Much has been made of Bayern Munich’s high defensive line in recent matches so I think there’s a good chance of Neymar, who should start centrally again, of being caught offside once or twice as the Bavarian defence steps up– with the Brazilian registering two against RB Leipzig.

A central striker has been caught offside for Bayern’s opponents in each of the last four matches with Tammy Abraham and Kai Havertz reaching 3 each so the 11/10 and 11/2 prices certainly appeal, especially considering that the prices on PSG team offsides are very short. The prices have been dropping and will be considerably shorter before kick-off I suspect.

  • Joshua Kimmich 2+ Tackles (5/6 SkyBet)
  • Joshua Kimmich 3+ Tackles (5/2 SkyBet)

Joshua Kimmich has been outstanding this season, showing the same level of consistency that one of his predecessors Phillip Lahm did in the same positions on the pitch.

The international has played at both defensive midfield and right-back across the season but is currently residing in the latter with Benjamin Pavard’s injury. Although Pavard is back in training, it’s unlikely that Hans Dieter-Flick will bring him back into the starting eleven for such a big game with his lack of match sharpness.

Should Kimmich start the match on the right of a back four, he’s likely to be up against Kylian Mbappe who is certain to start. Mbappe’s right-back opponent in the semi-final Nordi Mukiele landed 6 successful tackles as the majority of PSG’s attacks in the game came down the left flank so Kimmich to register 2 and 3 at the prices on offer seems a good way to go.

In the Lyon game, Kimmich won 3 tackles and in the Barcelona rout it was 2, both at right-back. In his last four finals, the versatile player has registered 8, 2, 2 and 3 tackles so the higher lines could tempt as well.
