A tasty West London derby on Saturday evening as Brentford host title-chasing Chelsea with a view to causing some more heartache on one the big boys, just as they did when they held Liverpool here before the international break in a 3-3 draw.

A lot of this could depend on how Chelsea shape up but I fancy the Blues have three at the back with wing backs, which should give them a solid core given the depth of their ball-playing and holding midfielders, coupled with the width of the wing backs it doesn’t give Brentford many options for pressing Thomas Tuchel's team. Chelsea will look to contain their hosts with sharp passing and plenty possession.

What also bodes well is that key marksman Lukaku appears to be available, which will also rule out any aerial dominance the Brentford back line usually has. With the selection, I feel the strong core of the team as described above, coupled with the volume of opportunities Chelsea can create, should set them up nicely to bounce back from their recent patchy form.

Chelsea rank 4th for shots at 16 per-game and 6 on-target per-game which ranks 3rd. On the flip of that, the European champions are up against the weakest team going forward with Brentford bottom of the shots per-game (9) and shots on-target per-game (2.7) league table at home.

Chelsea have dispatched of everyone in front of them with the exception of Liverpool, Man City and Juventus. With those teams in mind from an attacking perspective, Brentford are nowhere near this level and all others sides Chelsea have faced they have been dispatched by at least 2 goals, it’s a solid price in a game where a 1 goal win delivers a refund.
