GAVIN Murphy (@GamePlanGavin) starts his bookings bets this weekend with a match in Australia on Friday night.

Adelaide United v Western Sydney Wanderers | Friday 09:47 | BT Sport 1

After ten days of international action, domestic leagues resume and this early Friday morning a battle in Australia has caught my eye!

I mentioned last week that there appears to be a lot of cards in these Aussie matches. Our tip won very easily in truth last Saturday and there were plenty of cards in the other opening weekend encounters.

Onto this week and Adelaide host Western Sydney Wanderers. The stats on this match are incredible. In the past nine tussles between these two teams the cards issued reads nine, eight, five, three, seven, seven, five, seven and seven. These games have also seen plenty of reds too. The average cards per game has been 6.4 and the only occasion in nine where it hasn't gone over 4.5 cards was a drab nil nil affair.

It's a small sample but in the opening weekend Adelaide collected four yellows and Western Sydney one. That would be sufficient for this bet to pay out of course.

The whisteblower in this one is Chris Heath. In his past ten domestic games he has averaged 5.8 cards. He has some mixed results (ranging from one card per game to 10) but 7/10 games went over 4.5 cards.

Given the stats this looks a standout bet and I'm taking the 4/5 on Over 4.5 cards with Bet365.

About Author

I first got interested in gambling through my cousin. He's a professional gambler and got me hooked as a teenager when you had to pay the 9% tax. Who remembers that?! These days I prefer to specialise on one market rather than spread myself too thinly. Hence my love of cards! Hopefully I can make others a few bob in the process of sharing my bets on WeLoveBetting. On a personal note I love most sports especially cricket, rugby and NFL. I support Tottenham and all things Welsh and outside of sport I enjoy reading autobiographies particularly with a glass of good wine!
