ON top of Gavin Horsfall's world famous Anytime Notebook, we asked Danny Mercer (@OneDannyMercer) for his best Anytime Goalscorer bet of the weekend.

Hartlepool v Cheltenham | Saturday 15:00

20-year-old Jack Dunn is on loan at Cheltenham from Liverpool and it speaks volumes that Brendan Rodgers is a big fan of this young prospect.

Dunn has gone from a midfielder to converting to a striker, and he's improving all the time. You might recall him scoring for his parent club in a pre season encounter against Shamrock. This lad has a future.

I've seen Dunn a few times and he has great passing ability (as you'd expect from a former midfielder) but he's also a serious threat going forward as he showed last week on his Cheltenham debut.

Dunn scored a very good goal against Oxford. turning on his stronger foot before finishing with his right. He can use either foot, shooting very powerfully, he likes to drift in and out of space finding pockets of space and picking the ball up.

I think the 20 year old will have settled in nicely at Whaddon Road with other young players in Kevin Stewart and Lloyd Jones all joining on loan at the same time.

There's no doubt that he will get chances against Hartlepool who are bottom of the league and already a huge 10 points adrift of safety. The North East club have not won in 12 league games and lost nine of those fixtures. They've conceded 25 goals over those games, that's an average of two per game. Expect the exciting Dunn to take advantage at a tasty 16/5.

I was brought into the betting world from a young age when my parents asked me to pick out a few horses. I’ve been hooked since but only seriously started punting in the past four years. I’ve used my wealth of knowledge from the English game along with my passion for stats and trends to try to find that winning angle. I work hard but enjoy nothing more than studying the form in the hope of getting that extra edge, whether it be from the non-leagues or the Premier League. And if I can help anyone pocket a few quid, it makes the hard work even more worthwhile.
