MARK O’Haire has trawled through Sunday’s European card to bring you his best bets from the continent today.

Since selecting, writing/recording and publishing my European NAP, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s probably my best bet of the season so far in continental domestic action. But there were two more punts I had outlined for Sunday and so I thought I’d share them with you here…

Hellas Verona v AC Milan | 14.00 | BT Sport 1

Two teams I keep on my shortlist for goals-based bets go head-to-head and I’m pleasantly surprised to see Over 2.5 Goals trading at 10/11 with SkyBet. Only goal-difference separates Verona and Milan in the table but we should expect an entertaining meeting at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.

Since winning promotion back to the top tier Hellas have seen 16/22 (73%) home fixtures break the Over 2.5 Goals barrier and that’s been the case in two of their three in Verona this season. And it’s a similar tale when looking at Milan’s road games. The Rossoneri’s three away matches have featured 15 goals in 2014/15 already and since the start of last season have produced Over 2.5 Goals in 14/22 (64%).

So to see the Total Goals market close to even-money for an Overs bet looks another cracking value punt from Serie A.

Montpellier v Lyon | 20.00 | BT Sport 2

First things first… this game is taking place in Lyon NOT Montpellier. Extreme flooding has left La Paillade without a useable training ground or stadium, hence the switch to Lyon.

Now Lyon finally look to be over their long injury list and three wins from an unbeaten run of five in Ligue 1 has seen Hubert Fournier’s charges recapture some of their best form. That culminated in a convincing 3-0 demolition over Lille in front of their home fans before the international break.

Les Gones have scored at least twice when winning four of their five league outings at Stade Gerland this season and should prove too good for an organsied but limited Montpellier outfit. BetVictor are offering 5/6 on the home side and they’re well capable of making that price look foolish.
