I’ll start right off by saying that this game screams goals to me, and I’ve chosen a few bets based solely around that. I’ll keep this one brief and fire through some stats before getting to the picks.
Tenth in the East host 10th in the West – two sides who’ve had very similar seasons. The main takeaway that stands out is that both teams have been involved in plenty of high-scoring matches.
If we take Columbus’ last five fixtures, we see that those games have seen a total of 18 goals, four of which have gone Over 2.5 Goals (43/50 Marathon). Kansas City’s last five outings have also seen a total of 18 goals, three of which beat the Over 2.5 Goals line.
A pattern that I’ve noticed with these two is that they both started the season in a much better place defensively, and as the season has progressed they’ve dropped off at the back and have shipped plenty of goals, as well as keeping their fire power intact.
They collide this Sunday night and I just don’t see any way in which this game ends without plenty of goalmouth action at both ends. I’m fully expecting it to be an end-to-end affair and therefore I’ll be backing plenty of goals markets at nice prices.
