PREMIER LEAGUE analyst Daniel McCulloch (@DMcCulloch1984) takes a look at Super Sunday's meeting between Everton and Manchester United.
Everton v Manchester United | Sunday 21st April 2019, 13:30 | Sky Sports
This one seems a simple call to me, Everton in the Draw No Bet market at 5/4 with Betway looks like excellent value.
Everton’s last three home games have come against Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. In those matches they’ve won two and drawn the other and kept a clean sheet in each match.
Perhaps they were a little fortunate to draw with Liverpool but they deserved to beat both London opponents and I struggle to see how anyone can have confidence in Manchester United to win such a game.
Much has been made of how results flattered performances in the early part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign and since he was confirmed as their full-time manager, results and performances have been concerning. Their two victories in their last six games in all competitions – 2-1 against Watford and West Ham – were both fortuitous and they seem years away from having a settled backline.
Some may argue that a comprehensive defeat to Barcelona may have dented their confidence but I am not naïve enough to believe that this isn’t a far easier task. However, I do believe the Everton at Goodison remain a tough ask for a United side in transition and think it’s worth siding with The Toffees in this one.
