PREMIER LEAGUE analyst Daniel McCulloch (@DMcCulloch1984) takes a look at Super Sunday's showdown between Fulham and Liverpool at Craven Cottage.
Fulham v Liverpool | Sunday 17th March 2019, 14:15 | Sky Sports
It's been a desperately disappointing season for Fulham to date and it appears like a question of when not if their Championship status is confirmed.
While I cannot make a case for the Cottagers getting anything from this game, I do feel that they will be more competitive than the market suggests.
Under Scott Parker, Fulham may have lost both games, but they were competitive in both defeats to Chelsea and at Leicester and they did find the net in both encounters.
This season, nine of their 14 home league games have seen both teams find the net and at 21/20 with Ladbrokes that gets my vote.
While just seven of Liverpool's 15 away matches have seen both sides net, I take confidence from the fact that Fulham have scored at home to Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham this term. Additionally, as stated last week, I don't believe that Liverpool are as good defensively as the statistics suggest and all things considered, I think odds against quotes on such a bet are excellent value.
Also, Liverpool to win 2-1 at 17/2 with Black Type holds some appeal. They've already won but this scoreline twice on their travels this terms while it's also worth noting that Fulham lost by this scoreline at home to both Tottenham and Chelsea this season. I expect Liverpool to win but struggle to see it being comfortable.
