In a rather farcical situation for British boxing fans, there’s another pay-per-view on Saturday night at the same time as Warrington v Frampton. Brixton heavyweight Dillian Whyte (1/3) attempts to settle his rivalry with Dereck Chisora (11/4) at The O2, with the winner hoping to face Anthony Joshua next year.

Whyte’s sole loss (24-1, 17 KOs) came against AJ three years ago, but ‘The Body Snatcher’ has improved since then and he’s recorded impressive wins over Joseph Parker (UD) and Lucas Browne (KO 6) this year. After scraping past Chisora in the first meeting on a split decision two years ago, Whyte knows he needs to put in a big performance in the rematch.

Chisora (29-8, 21 KOs) comes into the clash off the back of a brilliant knockout win against Carlos Takam (TKO 8). ‘Del Boy’ largely opted to sit on the ropes and lure the French-Cameroonian in before countering with some huge shots, stopping him in round eight. He took a lot of punishment that night – as he has done throughout his career – so Whyte will fancy his chances of breaking his rival down.

The first encounter was a cracker, and the bookmakers expect Whyte to win on points again (11/8) but if they pick up where they left off, this could be another brawl with the younger man grinding Chisora down before a late stoppage.

Best Bet

Whyte round 9-12 – 6/1 (Skybet)
