International football continues on Tuesday as Germany welcome Brazil for a mouthwatering match in Berlin. Lucas Swain-Britton (@LucasSwain95) shares his best bets.

Germany find themselves with yet another high-profile friendly when Brazil visit the Olmpiastadion. After drawing with Spain in Düsseldorf, Joachim Löw will be hoping to go one better when the two favourites for the World Cup meet on German soil.
Whilst Germany will be slightly frustrated they didn’t manage to defeat Spain last week, they did manage to extend their unbeaten run to an impressive 22 matches. Proving that whilst 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes, the Germans don’t always win.
An interesting clash
The Selecao have been on an impressive run of late, and whilst Russia aren’t the most formidable of opposition, credit shouldn’t be stripped away from Brazil for traveling to the World Cup hosts and coming away with a 3-0 win.
The Russians have managed to create a series of good results in their home country of late, so for Tite’s side to go there and dominate with such class it’s some achievement.
Stanislav Cherchesov had managed to get his side to hold Spain to a draw and limit Argentina to a 1-0 victory due to a 86th minute Sergio Aguero winner.
Defensive Pedigree
The Brazilian national team have been famed for many things over the years, whether it’s flamboyant footballers or drastically terrible haircuts at world tournaments, it’s fair to suggest the South American side are the Hollywood of national teams.
However, Brazil has also been known for making defenders who doesn’t…erm, defend? Roberto Carlos, Dani Alves, David Luiz, Marcelo etc. may be the best examples of this, however Cafu is firmly an outlier.
Despite this, it hasn’t prevented the current national side from boasting a formidable record. Brazil have conceded only five goals in their previous 18 fixtures, and considering the South American qualifying sector of the World Cup is famed for its attacking flair, this isn’t something that should go unnoticed.
Ghost of the Maracanã
One thing that will be in the head of the Brazilians is revenge.
Let’s not forget the last time these sides met, coincidently when Neymar was injured also, and the Selecao were embarrassed on their home soil as Miroslav Klose made World Cup history.
The 7-1 demolishing from Germany is a scar with an unlimited healing time and the only way Tite’s side can do to somewhat redeeming themselves against the world champions is putting together an impressive performance whilst supporters may very well still be smarting.
I think opposing goals in this fixture is the best way of approaching this match in the betting. I made it clear in my Germany v Spain preview that the Germans don’t score often against the elite sides and Brazil are no different, especially considering their recent defensive stability.
