PSG v Amiens | Saturday 5th August 2017, 16:00
As I write, PSG have completed a world record deal for Neymar so the Parc des Princes should be buzzing this weekend – ideas of big and bright future will be on everyone's mind.
The capital club have only brought in Dani Alves so far, mind. He's a very good signing. Not only is he still a very good player – as seen last week in the Trophee des Champions – but the man is also hugely experienced in winning titles.
A back-four of Alves, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Layvin Kurzawa is very solid.
Amiens went on a tremendous run to get themselves into Ligue 1 towards the end of the season, winning five on the bounce, culminating in an extraordinary game at Reims {look it up if you don't know}.
The newly-promoted outfit have brought in quite a few players, including former Chelsea reject Gael Kakuta which is seen as a bit of a scalp for them. But to me, they look quite light in all areas.
PSG have won their last three home league openers ‘to nil' and I think that's the way to go again here. Grab the 3/4 offered by BetVictor, it’s more than fair.
