Well, if there was ever one game that pits two of La Liga’s most inconstant sides against each other – this is it.

Real Sociedad have won twice this season, drawing once and losing three times, whilst Gus Poyet’s guests’ form reads two wins, two draws and two losses. As you can see, neither side has really put together a run of games.

I’m yet to be convinced by Poyet’s side; they have an abundance of young talented players but for some unknown reason he’s not playing them. I’m the leader of the Dani Ceballos fan club, yet he’s only played 89 minutes this season – clearly Poyet isn’t interested in having a creative dribbler with an eye for a pass in his side.

As for Sociedad, they’ve improved their performances but still lack the results. In their last home game they put four past an in-form Las Palmas side with Willian Jose scoring his second and third goals of the season.

Midfielders Asier Illarramendi and David Zurutuza have improved since the opening weekend and Carlos Vela has put in a run of good performances on the right wing.

Looking at the history of this fixture, there is one clear trend – Real Betis rarely win at Anoeta. Béticos have won just once in 13 fixtures since 1999 at the home of Real Sociedad, with the home side winning six of the meetings.

Sociedad have also seen Over 2.5 Goals in their last three home matches against Betis in all competitions and have scored at least two goals in their last three home dates with the Andalusians.

The hosts have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four La Liga matches and the only home game they’ve failed to score in came against Real Madrid.

Whilst away from home, Betis have conceded nine goals with Over 2.5 Goals landing in two of their three road trips this term.
