DANNY Mercer (@OneDannyMercer) is the man for Premier League card betting. And he’s found a big-priced runner for Super Sunday’s clash between Manchester and Arsenal.

Manchester City v Arsenal | Sunday 16.00 | Sky Sports 1

All eyes will be on the Etihad on Sunday afternoon for what should be an entertaining game which could have a decisive say on the Premier League’s title race.

But I’m more interested in the cards markets; the last four meetings between Man City and Arsenal have resulted in 21 yellows and two reds. So we should expect more to flow here…

Mike Dean is the referee and in his six games in charge of televised matches already this season he’s pulled out 33 cards, at an average rate of 5.5 cards-per-game. That figure drops to 4.10 cards-per-game in non-live Premier League games.

But based on both of the aforementioned figures, we can forecast at least another four to be shown, especially as both City and the Gunners are averaging over two cards-per-game in live league games too.

Dean’s dished out 18 yellows and two reds in his last four Man City v Arsenal matches. The Citizens lead the way with 12 yellows to Arsenal’s eight and he’s previously given Laurent Koscielny and Vincent Kompany their marching orders.

With plenty of players looking rather short in the betting. It’s no too surprising with some of the names on show and what’s at stake. One player I do like though is David Silva at 7/2 with BetVictor.

The little Spaniard’s already been booked on three occasions in the Premier League this season with two of those coming in front of the live TV cameras. Last season he collected four of his five yellows in live league matches including the two games against Arsenal!

Silva’s misdemeanours include dissent as well as clipping players legs once they get passed him. Do not be surprised if something similar happens here, with the pace at Arsenal’s exposure.

Also on our side, Mike Dean doesn’t seem to be fan. The referee has taken Silva’s name against Chelsea this season as well as in three of his last four games when taking charge of Man City’s matches in which Silva’s played.

I was brought into the betting world from a young age when my parents asked me to pick out a few horses. I’ve been hooked since but only seriously started punting in the past four years. I’ve used my wealth of knowledge from the English game along with my passion for stats and trends to try to find that winning angle. I work hard but enjoy nothing more than studying the form in the hope of getting that extra edge, whether it be from the non-leagues or the Premier League. And if I can help anyone pocket a few quid, it makes the hard work even more worthwhile.
