OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best selections tonight.
Atalanta v Sampdoria | Tuesday 3rd April 2018, 17:30
I am loving Atalanta’s form of late. Their performances against Verona, Bologna and Udinese were absolutely stunning, and even in their defeat against Juventus, the Bergamaschi showed plenty of promise at the Juventus Stadium, winning more corners than the home side and holding 48% of the ball.
That is why I reckon they should be winning against Sampdoria tonight, who are in their worst period of the season so far. Being without Lucas Torreira who is by far their best midfielder in the team is also a blow that Atalanta can take advantage of.
I am backing a home win with goals as I still consider Sampdoria dangerous. I don’t think they will be pushovers on the road, but Atalanta should be too strong for them.
Genoa vs Cagliari | Tuesday 3rd April 2018, 17:30
A home win is perfectly plausible here for the Grifoni, who are struggling to keep a position above the relegation zone, but are beginning to show their true class.
To be fair, their home form is far from impressive this season, with just three wins in 14 games, but those three wins came between December and March, showing an improvement compared to the start of the season.
Cagliari will play for a tight match at The Marassi, but I am expecting the hosts to rely on their new home factor winning by a small margin.
Udinese vs Fiorentina| Tuesday 3rd April 2018, 17:30
Udinese are in a crisis coming into this match tonight, with six consecutive losses and they seem intent on throwing away all the good form they showed in December.
In contrast, Fiorentina have won four consecutive matches and they are now among the form teams of the second half of the season.
I am backing the Viola not to lose in Udine, with more than 1 goal scored in the game.
