Serie A: Double-up in Serie A on Saturday night

0

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best Saturday selections.

Chievo v Roma | Saturday 17:00 | BT Sport

Roma had a very irrational season in 2017, being ingloriously eliminated in Coppa Italia and Europa League when all seemed to go in their favour.

On domestic action, they’ll probably finish another season at the second place behind Juventus, but their record is something remarkable, as they should finish not finish more than four points behind from the Bianconeri.

They have turned fortunes in their favour winning two key matches, away to AC Milan, and especially at home against Juventus. They will need another six points in the last two matches to keep the same rhythm as Napoli, who’s pushing one point behind, both fighting for second spot and automatic Champions League qualifcaiton.

A trip to Chievo is usually not the easiest task in the world, but given such situation Roma’s chances should be utterly trusted. The hosts are safe and sound since January and motivation should play a big impact.

Odds are really not intriguing for these last Serie A days though, so I am planning to play such selections in combination with the other of Saturday’s Serie A match.

Napoli v Fiorentina | Saturday 19:45 | BT Sport

Napoli are undisputedly playing the best football in Italy and I rate them pound-per-pound among the best teams in the world football.

They showed such an offensive disruptive force last match, trashing away 5-0 Torino and they are scoring an average of more than 2.00 goals per-game in their last outings.

They have found the perfect formula with Dries Mertens as a false number nine, and the Belgian international is proving to be a goal machine in his new role.

I do not think they will have problems to beat Fiorentina on Saturday. La Viola do not have any objectives from their season and I see them not playing with extreme intensity and toughness.

Napoli have found their form back at San Paolo, being beaten only by Real Madrid in the last two months. All their victories consisted of at least three goals scored and for this reason I will back the home win alongside Over 2.5 Goals in a tasty double at evens (Paddy Power).

Best Bets

Roma to win, Napoli to win and Over 2.5 Goals double (1/1 Paddy Power)
