Scottish Football: Back Gers to swipe Accies aside, says Mr Fixit

THE DAILY RECORD'S Mr Fixit (@mrfixitstips) picks out his three best bets in Scotland this weekend.

Rangers v Hamilton | Saturday 15:00

Pedro Caixinha makes his dugout debut this weekend – but maybe he should have left Graeme Murty in charge for one more game.

Hamilton are the visitors to Ibrox and they gave stand-in boss Murty his biggest victory when they were demolished 6-0 in the Scottish Cup.

Accies blamed the defeat on bad decisions but in truth their defending was woeful and they followed it with an equally sorry 4-0 loss at Hearts.

In their last four away games Martin Canning's men have failed to score and conceded 14 goals. So it probably doesn't matter who takes charge on Saturday.

Rangers should get a lift from Caixinha's presence and their display against Celtic last week so I'm taking them to win -1 at 10/11 with Ladbrokes.

Dunfermline v Ayr | Saturday 15:00

In the Championship it's beginning to look like St Mirren will avoid bottom spot at the expense of Ayr.

Saints' defeat of Dundee United closed the gap on Ayr to one point and Ian McCall's men seem doomed after one win in 19 league games and that was against keeperless Raith.

Ayr head for Dunfermline on Saturday and you have to fancy the home men. They're at 8/13 at Marathonbet to win but I prefer the 9/10 at Stan James for a Pars victory and Over 1.5 Goals.

Stirling Albion v Annan | Saturday 15:00

The best bet in League Two is Stirling who have won four in a row under Dave Mackay.

They face another form side in Annan with all three meetings between the teams going to the home men and Stirling have beaten their rivals four in a row at Forthbank.

Stirling are a best 13/10 with William Hill.

Best Bets

Rangers v Hamilton – Rangers -1 (10/11 Ladbrokes)

Dunfermline v Ayr – Dunfermline to win and Over 1.5 Goals (9/10 Stan James)

Stirling Albion v Annan – Stirling Albion to win (13/10 William Hill)
