Serie A: Amazing Atalanta should be able to expose leaky Napoli

OUR man in Italy, Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) looks to continue his hot streak in Serie A with his best Saturday selections.

Napoli v Atalanta | Saturday 17:00

We can expect a lot in Saturday’s match between Napoli and Atalanta with both sides competing for a place in European football next season. Napoli seem to have recovered well after the loss in Madrid, as they dominated the game in Chievo.

The best attack of the Serie A will return to San Paolo in Naples where they have not been so ruthless as Juventus and Roma, who had a perfect home performance this season.

What has been so inconsistent with domestic Napoli’s season has been their defensive form. With 14 home goals conceded they have the worst defensive record among the top seven.

I think Atalanta could exploit those defensive issues, especially in this best season I can sincerely remember for them. The team has a credible chance to finish among the top 5, and it would be no surprise if they registered at least once in Naples.

Having this in mind, my bet will be focused on goals. I’m still thinking Napoli to win, but focusing on goals should be a wiser move here so it's Over 2.5 for me.

Juventus v Empoli | Saturday 19:45 | BT Sport 2

One of the biggest certainties throughout Europe this Saturday is at the Juventus stadium, where the five times reigning champions meet Empoli in the late evening.

Juve have proved to be something really solid also against Porto in UCL action and their task to land a 30th consecutive home win should not be so hard when facing a side like Empoli.

The toscani, as I said last week when they faced Lazio, have the worst scoring record in Serie A, a ridiculous, paltry number of 15 in 25 games. They’ve also failed to score in more than half of their games, so it is difficult to imagine that they will be able to threaten Juve in their nest.

For this reason I will be involved in Juventus to win to nil. To support this bet, Juventus at home have registered a 100% win ratio, scoring 34 goals and only conceding seven, basically one every two games.

If it should be granted that the worst attack in the league won’t score here, I will also take Juventus to win with a -1.5 Asian Handicap.

Best Bets

Napoli v Atalanta – Over 2.5 Goals (5/6 188BET)

Juventus v Empoli – Juventus to win to nil (8/11 BetVictor)

Juventus v Empoli – Juventus -1.5 (8/13 188BET)
