Bookings Tips | Fenerbahce v Besiktas | 29th February 2016

CARD KING Gavin Murphy (@GamePlanGavin) has found a cracking bookings bet for Monday night’s big Istanbul derby.

Fenerbahce v Besiktas | Monday 18.00

Fenerbahce entertain Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday evening in an eagerly anticipated contest at the Ulker Stadium in Istanbul.

The sides come into the clash sitting second and first in the standings respectively and with just a point between them in the title race.

A win for Besiktas, though, would see them take a commanding four-point lead at the top of a table and, with a game in hand on Fener, would become outright favourites to win their 14th league title and first since 2009.

Therefore, clearly this is a very important fixture. Add in the fact that these are two of the ‘Big 3’ Istanbul-based clubs along with Galatasaray and this should be an explosive occasion.

The past two encounters between these two rivals have been surprisingly timid with only three and four cards dished out. However, the three matches before that read 13-12-11 on the total card numbers – that’s more like what I’d expect.

Top Turkish official Cynet Cykir has been given the whistle for this showdown and he will have his hands full.

Given the magnitude of the fixture, I think Over 65 Bookings Points with William Hill at 5/6 is worth backing.

If you’re new to Bookings Points, a yellow card earns 10 points and a red card earns 25 points. If a player receives 2 yellow cards and is consequently shown a red card, he receives a total of 35 booking points.

I first got interested in gambling through my cousin. He's a professional gambler and got me hooked as a teenager when you had to pay the 9% tax. Who remembers that?! These days I prefer to specialise on one market rather than spread myself too thinly. Hence my love of cards! Hopefully I can make others a few bob in the process of sharing my bets on WeLoveBetting. On a personal note I love most sports especially cricket, rugby and NFL. I support Tottenham and all things Welsh and outside of sport I enjoy reading autobiographies particularly with a glass of good wine!
