Ah, two of my favourite teams in the Premier League. Actually, maybe my Top 2. Both head into this Monday night fixture feeling chipper and surely aware that victory here puts them right in the thick of things after the established orders poor weekend performances.

Both sides will move up to 6th if they win with the Toffees enjoying the satisfaction of overtaking their city rivals in the process. Palace would be just seven points behind Leicester if they won.

Absences? Well James McCarthy could miss out for Everton with his continuing hip injury while Palace will definitely miss Wilfried Zaha who is suspended.

Zaha's absence could be a key one as Yannick Bolasie and him have been causing all sorts of problems for opponents up the wings this season. How will Palace cope without him?

Looking at the form, both these sides seem to enjoy the situations they're in on Monday. Everton have won three of their seven home games in the league and have only lost to the Manchester clubs at Goodison.

Palace have won four of their six away games and only succumbed to Leicester and Tottenham on their travels. Both just narrow one goal defeats.

Everton are best price 21/20 to win this game while Palace are 14/5. It's the latter offering that appeals to me much more. This is a big test for Everton and backing them at a shade of odds against isn't for me.

On the evidence of what we've seen so far this season isn't it fair to suggest that Palace are a better side than Everton? I think so, despite my admiration for the Toffees.

Liverpool, Chelsea and tricky Watford have all been beaten on their own patch by Alan Pardew's side and it's possible Everton could be next on Monday.

I like the draw here at 27/10 but due to Palace's big price I'll be a bit more conservative and back them on the Asian Handicap instead. At +0.25 they can be supported at odds against 11/10. I'll go with that.

Half my stake goes on Palace to avoid defeat at +0.50 and the other half on them Draw No Bet at +0. You with me? The value lies with Palace and I'll grab them on this market.
