Celta Vigo v Getafe | Friday 19:30 | Sky Interactive
La Liga action returns on Friday night as Getafe travel north to play Celta in Vigo. From a league position and bookings perspective this looks a mismatch. Celta are flying high and recently thumped Barcelona 4-1 at their Balaidos stadium. No team has scored more goals at home than Celta’s 10.
Getafe have picked up their home form and will be boosted by their handsome 3-0 home victory last time out against Levante. On the road though they are shocking having lost all three games so far this season. During this period they have scored just once.
The whisteblower in this one is seasoned campaigner Eduardo Iglesias. He is a middle of the road referee who averages a low 4.67 cards per game by Spanish standards.
Celta have picked up just four cards in three home games. Getafe, in contrast, have accrued 10 cards in their three previous away matches.
Before seeing the quotes I had Getafe as a 1/2 shot on this market. Therefore I was pleasantly surprised to see William Hill offering 3/4 on Getafe to collect the most cards. With a tough night expected for the Madrid based outfit I’m getting involved.
