CHRIS Graham (@chrisgraham79) takes a look at the odds for the opening Monday night game of the new season.

West Brom v Man City | Monday 20:00 | Sky Sports 1

Well it's been an interesting start to the season eh? Chelsea dropped points at home to Swansea on Saturday and then good old Arsenal suffered a shock defeat to West Ham the day later. Will Man City take advantage here?

West Brom are their hosts and the club will be feeling buoyant after their excellent purchase of Salomon Rondon from Zenit. He won't be eligible for this game but his arrival certainly reveals the clubs ambition.

As well as Rondon, West Brom have brought in Rickie Lambert, James McClean, James Chester and Serge Gnabry. I've always been a big fan of Lambert but I'd worry about what impact last season's disastrous dalliance at Liverpool will have on him. Can he rediscover his scoring touch?

I've got West Brom finishing in 14th this season. Their squad looks a step up from a few of the sides in the division and with Tony Pulis at the helm things should be ok.

As for Man City, 4th place for me. It was disturbing to see proper judge Mark Langdon put City up for the title in last week's Racing Post Big Kick Off supplement but I just can't see it.

They looked flat under Manuel Pellegrini last season and the squad looks old and uninspiring. It will be exciting to see what Raheem Sterling can do of course but I'm happy to oppose them in the title betting.

City are unbeaten in 10 against West Brom and are best price 4/6 to get the job done on Monday. Under Pulis last season the Baggies beat Chelsea and Manchester United and at The Hawthorns drew with Liverpool and beat Southampton and Swansea. Impressive? You bet.

I'm happy to back Both Teams To Score here at 17/20 with Betfair. Pulis' men are a tough nut to crack on home soil and can definitely contribute to this game. I'll also have a wee dab on a 2-2 draw at huge odds of 19/1 with BetVictor.
