WHAT’S the best bet from the European football card this weekend? Mark O’Haire’s (@MarkOHaire) on hand to reveal all…

Juventus v Torino | Sunday 17.00 | BT Sport 1

You may have seen the analysis piece I penned from Monday, based on Juventus and their outrageous record of winning ‘to nil’. Well this weekend they host neighbours Torino in the Turin derby and I see no reason why we shouldn’t gobble up the even-money (1/1 Paddy Power) on offer for that run to continue.

The stats are just astonishing. Since the start of 2012/13, the Old Lady have won 70/88 (79%) Serie A matches and that includes 10/12 so far this season. Those 70 victories have come with 48 clean sheets, meaning 69% of their wins have come ‘to nil’, including 9/10 in 2014/15.

But most impressive though is the fact that 48/88 Serie A matches that Juventus have been involved in have resulted in the Old Lady winning ‘to nil’ – that’s 55%!

Torino for their part have failed to score in their last three league games and lost all four matches immediately after their involvement in the Europa League. And even more damming is the fact they’ve failed to score in 10 games against their city rivals, with 9/10 seeing Juventus win ‘to nil’.
