IT'S all about outsiders for Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) in the Capital One Cup and Scottish Communities League Cup this Wednesday.

Burton v Brighton | Wednesday 19:45

Capital One Cup upsets have been frequent throughout this year's competition and another one could arrive on Wednesday as League Two Burton host Championship Brighton.

Gary Rowett's side knocked out Premier League QPR in the last round and face a Brighton side who've made an awkward start to the season. The South Coast team, managed by Sami Hyypia, are down in 18th in the Championship and have failed to win in four. Amongst those four games were a defeat to newly-promoted Brentford and a 0-0 home draw with hapless Blackpool last weekend. There are suggestions that Hyypia is finding English football management hard to adapt to and there's no doubt this will be a stiff test for his side.

Despite defeats in their last two matches, Burton have started 2014/15 well with eight wins in 11 games. Two of those wins came against Championship Wigan and Premier League QPR in this competition. That's good going! Rowett looks a manager to follow and with six wins out of six at home this season, odds of 27/10 with Bet Victor here look big.

Celtic v Hearts | Wednesday 19:15 | BBC Scotland

This is a fascinating match. The home side, down in 4th in the Scottish Premiership, knocked out the Champions League twice, and already questioning their new manager, have reluctant questions to answer here. The away side, lie top of the Championship, have an unbeaten league record, and are living within a feel-good factor that hasn't been experienced at the club for a decade, will be desperate to answer questions here.

Hearts are 11/1 with Skybet to win this match but with such an awful record against the Glasgow club that may well be beyond them. Celtic have beaten the Edinburgh side in their last eight matches, and you have to go back to 2009 to find the last time Hearts won at Celtic Park.

Ronny Deila will know the importance of this match with pockets of fans already on his back and it may pay to back Hearts on the handicap. Skybet offer 5/4 on a two goal start for Hearts and that appeals. No side have scored more league goals in Scotland this season than Hearts and amazingly Celtic have just one win from their last seven matches.

Best Bets

Burton v Brighton – Burton to win (27/10 BetVictor)

Celtic v Hearts – Hearts +2 (5/4 Skybet)
