PAUL Lambert's men bid to continue their FA Cup adventure as they host Chelsea on Saturday. Chris Graham (@ChrisGraham79) offer his view on the live game.
Wolves v Chelsea | Saturday 17:30 | BT Sport 2
Chelsea really have had it cosy this season. On the way to cruising to the league title with no European football to worry about, they've also had a smooth run in the FA Cup with home times against lower league sides in Round 3 and 4.
Both of these FA Cup opponents were brushed aside with little sweat; League One Peterborough were booted out 4-1 while in the 4th Round Championship side Brentford were squashed 4-0. A look at the Chelsea line-ups tell you all you need to know.
On both occasions the Chelsea 11 was brimming with class. Fringe players like Kurt Zouma, Reuben Loftus-Cheek and Michy Batshuayi were blended with Cesc Fabregas, Pedro and Willian. That seems a likely line up on Saturday as well and if that's the case then it's curtains for Wolves.
Poor form
The Midland side grabbed a lot of headlines in the last round when they saw off Liverpool, but we know the Anfield side were not in a good place at the end of last month and arrived at the party with weak personnel.
Paul Lambert's men have been in poor form since their win over Liverpool. A 3-1 win over Barnsley followed the next midweek but since then they've lost three in a row including defeats to struggling Burton Albion and Wigan.
Rock solid
There will no doubt be a raucous crowd at Wolverhampton on Saturday but why should that phase a hungry Chelsea? Wolves have lost seven of their last 10 home matches while their opponents look absolutely rock solid at the moment.
Chelsea have collected just one loss in their last 18 all competition games and Antonio Conte may be thinking about the League and Cup double. This game looks to be the perfect passage into the FA Cup Quarter-Finals.
Wolves' poor current form, an uninspiring home record, a result over Liverpool that looks better on paper than in reality and a daunting, exceptional opponent. It all adds up to a tough day for Lambert's side.
Chelsea are odds against with 888 Sport to win by two or more goals and it's a bet I'm drawn to. A Championship dog-fight might just await Wolves after this.
