Gordon Strachan’s men played well to win and need another three points in Slovenia tomorrow to clinch the second spot in Group F and a play-off place.
I tipped us to do no better than draw with the Slovaks without Scott Brown and Stuart Armstrong but everyone played their part in a decent display that was helped by Robert Mak’s early red card.
The assumption is Slovakia will beat Malta at home – they are a best 1/14 – so Scotland need to win and Slovenia are out so that may help our cause.
