MARCO Di Cosmo (@scioltz) is back for the new season and looks at this Friday night match for WLB.

Sampdoria v Milan | Friday 19:45 | BT Sport 2

We hope to see a legitimate and entertaining match at the Marassi on Friday evening after Sunday's game between Genoa and Fiorentina was postponed due to heavy rain. Weather is a concern again in Italy for the weekend football but all seems good in Genova on Friday.

Sampdoria could be a banker in goals bets this season as we witnessed in their last match against Roma. First they went 1-0 down in that match, then went 2-1 up and finally lost 3-2 with a late penalty kick from Francesco Totti killing off their hopes.

I admire the blucerchiati mindset as they constantly try to have their game on against any kind of rival. Luis Muriel and Fabio Quagliarella means a threat for any defence, plus the quality of interesting youngsters, such as Lucas Torreira and Dennis Praet guarantee offensive brilliance to their attacks.

On the other hand AC Milan started their season winning 3-2 against Torino before suffering a 4-2 blow at the San Paolo in Naples. Last time out they lost 1-0 against Udinese at San Siro in a match where the opposition played with little ambition getting a fortunate winner a couple of minutes before the final whistle.

I’m sure Sampdoria will play different from that and will try to attack from the first minute. The rossoneri have shown significant defensive problems in such situations and have struggled to keep teams out.

On the other side of the field their attack has a lot of talent with Mbaye Niang and Carlos Bacca looking perfectly fitted to their style as we seen when they scored two against Napoli in less then 10 minutes.

I honestly do not have a clear view on who is going win this match but I’m really confident on goals coming from both ends.
