THE colossal Marco Di Cosmo (@scioltz) brings his best bets to the table in what looks another big Sunday Serie A.
Palermo v Inter | Sunday 14:00 | BT Sport 2
We’ll keep on betting on Inter’s fortunes when they travel to Palermo on Sunday. This has become the easiest away day in the Serie A, despite being an unconquerable fort just some years ago.
This season the Sicilians, as said, have only gained one point in nine homes games, the only positive result after eight consecutive defeats was last week's 1-1 against Pescara.
Palermo's poor record should help Inter get their sixth consecutive win in Serie A. The team is performing as we expected at the beginning of the season and the quality of their attack is paying dividends with Ivan Perisic and Mauro Icardi scoring freely.
I will back the neroazzurri to score more than one goal at La Favorita: this has happened in 60% of Palermo’s home games and Inter should have no mercy for the hosts here.
Pescara v Sassuolo | Sunday 14:00
Another team who is constantly improving after a bad period of the season is Sassuolo. They were often praised for their quality game and it was undisputedly damaged by their Europa League effort that cost them a lot of points in terms of domestic performances.
They now sit at the 16th place, well away from relegation zone but definitely far from last year's performances. The injury issues that affected the team were also a key factor and I am happy to see Domenico Berardi back, probably the main offensive deadlock for Sassuolo.
On the other hand, Pescara, who sit at the bottom of the table, have the third worst defensive record of the Serie A. At home, they are yet to win, while conceding an average of almost two goals per game.
Moreover, their only win of the season was the 3-0 against Sassuolo when the two teams met in the previous round, but that was the result of a judiciary decision, as Sassuolo won 2-0 on the pitch. For this reason I like to bank on the visitors revenge and I am happy to back goals again.
Roma v Cagliari | Sunday 19:45 | BT Sport 1
Roma under coach Luciano Spalletti are performing in a very similar way to Juventus and their average points record is something really remarkable, as I’ve also personally hoped being a fan of the Italian coach.
Roma have some injury issues but hosting Cagliari shouldn’t be the hardest task of their life. The Sardinians have the second worst away record in the league with only one win, one draw and eight losses; in almost 70% of these they’ve lost with a two goals or more margin.
You would not expect something different when they meet second placed Roma in their nest. The giaorosslli, as I have said, have some key players like Mohammed Salah in the African Cup but they have won 100% of their home games in the Serie A season, more than half of these were won with a two goal margin at least, so I expect them to keep on this track against one of the softest rivals of the league.
