My selection this week comes from the Scottish Championship Play-Offs as Ayr entertain Peterhead at Somerset Park. Both sides finished a long way behind Dunfermline in the League One title race but it was Ayr who pipped Peterhead to second spot in the league.
Ian McCall's side put a run together in the last few weeks which seen them beat Peterhead 4-0 away from home and they followed that up on Tuesday night in the first leg with another impressive win against Peterhead (4-1), which puts them in driving seat for this second leg.
Peterhead went 19 games unbeaten in a run which seen them look like Dunfermline's nearest challengers at one point but a disastrous run of form seen them drop to third place.
They lost their last five games of this season and another defeat on Tuesday night made it six straight defeats. A run which more or less ended their promotion campaign.
Peterhead have hit a horrible run of form just at the wrong time of the season and I can see Ayr adding to their lead and making it into the Play-Off final.
