I've had a few people asking if I've had a personality transplant since New Year, as I've tipped up both Hibernian and Celtic recently, but those two clubs have delivered back-to-back winners for me – so I can't complain!

This weekend, I'm dropping down to Scottish League Two in search of a hat-trick and I've found a price that represents excellent value for punters.

While Arbroath are at Easter Road trying to cause a Cupset (and good luck to them!), in-form Albion Rovers can take full advantage of their absence by going top of the League Two table with a win over Elgin City on Saturday.

Darren Young's side have lost just one of their last eight matches and ran out as 3-0 winners when they faced Elgin City at Cliftonhill at the beginning of December.

Elgin may have won three of their last four matches, but prior to that run, they had gone ten matches without a win.

Jim Weir's side are 25 points adrift of Albion in the League Two table and, perhaps, the most harrowing statistic of all is that Elgin have scored just four goals in seven home matches in the league thus far this term.

Albion, by contrast, have scored 18 league goals on the road this season and the long coach trip to Elgin on Saturday morning may be more testing for the Albion players than the match itself!

There are goals galore in Darren Young's side and Scott Chaplain, who scored two goals in the last meeting between these sides will be looking to add to his impressive goal tally for the season when Rovers visit Borough Briggs.

Elgin haven't played at home since December 2nd because of some awful weather but I expect that it'll be “game on” this weekend – and that it will be the visitors who take all three points.

Albion Rovers to beat Elgin City at 11/13 is my best bet from the Scottish football card this weekend.
