DAILY RECORD star Mr Fixit (@mrfixitstips) picks out his three best bets in Scotland from the third weekend of league action in 2017/18.
Hibs v Hamilton | Saturday 19th August 2017, 15:00
Hibs have taken the Premiership by storm on their return – but I've not been surprised. On the anteposts I tipped them to finish above Hearts (3/1) and for a top-six finish (11/10). B
oth look shoe-ins already and if they can keep it going Neil Lennon's men will be battling with Aberdeen and possibly Rangers for second spot.
I confidently tipped Hibs at odds-against to beat Partick on day one and while I fancied them last week at Ibrox I made Over 2.5 Goals my bet of the day as well as predicting Over 3.5 and a red card – and there could have been several.
Easter Road will be packed on Saturday with fans expecting to pick up another three points against Hamilton.
And as long as the newly-promoted side can handle being big favourites and don't take their rivals lightly, they should do the business at 11/20 with William Hill.
It's a rubbish price so instead take Hibs to win and Over 1.5 Goals at 9/10 with BetStars.
Stranraer v Ayr | Saturday 19th August 2017, 15:00
In League One I like Ayr who have scored 3+ against everyone but Hibs in their last five games.
That defeat to Hibees was the only blemish in a storming start to the season by the Honest Men who look set to bounce straight back up to the Championship.
They are 19/20 with Betway against a Stranraer side who have mustered just one victory win in seven.
Stenhousemuir v Peterhead | Saturday 19th August 2017, 15:00
Peterhead have played seven, won six this season and can keep up their perfect start to League Two with a third straight victory.
Stenny's midweek cup defeat to Highland League side Cove Rangers continued their miserable start that sees them still waiting for a win.
Back the Blue Toon at 28/25 with Marathon.
Best Bets
Hibs v Hamilton – Hibs to win and Over 1.5 Goals (19/20 BetStars)
Stranraer v Ayr – Ayr to win (19/20 Betway)
Stenhousemuir v Peterhead – Peterhead to win (28/25 Marathon)
