My selection this weekend comes from the Scottish Championship as Dundee Utd host Patrick Thistle.

United dropped out the Premiership two seasons ago and have found life tough to get back up. The Tangerines need a big second half of the season to gain automatic promotion, or will have to settle for the dreaded play-offs again.

Robbie Neilson was appointed October and got off to a flying start winning five of his first six games, which has seen the hosts move up to third, seven points behind leaders Ross County.

Meanwhile, Partick were relegated last season and had high hopes of bouncing back at the first attempt, but things haven’t gone to plan.

Alan Archibald was sacked and replaced with Gary Caldwell in October but he hasn’t fared much better, wining only one of his 10 games, and Thistle currently sit in second bottom and just one point off the wooden spoon position.

United have been a bit inconsistent of late but come up against a side who have only picked up one point from a possible 27 away from home, so will hope to put home advantage to their favour and take all three points.
