My selection this weekend comes from the Scottish Cup as St Mirren and Motherwell battle it out for a quarter-final spot.

Motherwell have had an excellent season so far and sit in third spot in the Premiership. They were well beaten on Wednesday against Celtic but they will fancy their chances against an out-of-form St Mirren. ‘Well had an excellent 3-0 victory over Dundee in the last round and have beaten Saints twice already this season.

The Buddies have won just once in their last eight games and sit in 10th, just four points off the bottom. They beat lowland league Broxburn in the last round to get to this stage.

Motherwell are looking like the best of the rest this season and should have more than enough to beat the struggling Saints.
