Scottish Football: Saints to continue remarkable resurgence, says Mr Fixit

THE Daily Record's Mr Fixit (@mrfixitstips) picks out his three best bets in Scotland this weekend.

Rangers v Celtic | Saturday 12:00 | Sky Sports

Anyone who watched last week’s Scottish Cup semi-final between Celtic and Rangers last week will struggle to back against the champions on Saturday.

Celtic’s 2-0 Hampden victory was more emphatic than the scoreline suggested and there was a huge gulf between the teams.

Brendan Rodgers will be minus key striker Moussa Dembele and this game is at Ibrox but I can see more of the same, especially with skipper Scott Brown free to lead the Hoops after winning his red-card appeal.

Celtic have won four and drawn one of five derbies this season and my worry is how wrong Pedro Caixinha got his tactics last week.

Rodgers will be determined not to lose his unbeaten record and while Celtic look a little short at 7/10 but I’m backing them to win with Over 1.5 Goals at 11/10 with BetStars.

St Mirren v Raith | Saturday 15:00

In the Championship it might be the penultimate round but four out of five matches mean something – only Dunfermline v Morton has nothing riding on it.

St Mirren will finally climb out of the bottom-two if they beat Raith at home and should do so.

Rovers missed out in injury time to Hibs on Wednesday to suffer an eighth straight away defeat.

And Saints, who've lost just one in eight, can add to their misery at 21/20 with Marathon.

Annan v Montrose | Saturday 15:00

Four games in League Two are still alive with Annan and Montrose among the teams fighting for play-off spots.

Montrose travel to Galabank where the last five meetings have gone over 3.5 goals as have all three clashes this season.

Take Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams To Score at evens with Coral.

Best Bets

Rangers v Celtic – Celtic to win and Over 1.5 Goals (11/10 BetStars)

St Mirren v Raith – St Mirren to win (21/20 Marathon)

Annan v Montrose – Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams To Score (1/1 Coral)
