Scottish Football: 'Gers the pick for Dino Vita in Glaswegian derby

My selection this week comes from the early Saturday kick-off as Rangers head to Firhill to face Patrick in the mini Glasgow derby.

Rangers have struggled a bit on their return to the Scottish Premiership this season but have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks. The ‘Gers are unbeaten in their last six league games, winning four and drawing the other two.

Mark Warburton’s men have tightened things up at the back as well, only conceding two goals on that six-match run.

Thistle are yet to win at home in the Premiership and sit second from bottom in a very tight bottom-half.

The Jags went on a mini-revival last month but have lost their last two, and according to reports were very poor in defeat at Motherwell last weekend.

Rangers have probably given up hope of catching Celtic but will want to finish best of the rest and if they play anywhere near their peak, it should be good enough to dump the Jags.
