DARTS analyst Andrew Francis (@ALeagueAndy) shares his verdict on the best bets from Saturday's Day 3 of the 2019 PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace.
Richard North v Robert Marijanovic | Saturday 15th December 2018, 12:40 | Sky Sports
Richard North is the odds-on favourite here and perhaps rightly so with ‘The Lionheart' beating Robert Marijanovic in every single metric over the year.
He also sits 56 places higher in the Order Of Merit and all indications are that North should win this with some ease.
His short odds mean combining him with another solid selection is a good place to start.
Toni Alcinas v Craig Ross | Saturday 15th December 2018, 19:10 | Sky Sports
A few people are tipping Toni Alcinas as potentially being the man to upset Peter Wright this year and make a name for himself.
Alcinas has been showing some good darts this year and will be confident of advancing into the next round, especially with a quite fortunate draw against one of the weaker players in the tournament.
He’ll complete Saturday's double alongside North for an even-money shot with Bet365.
Ryan Searle v Stephen Burton | Saturday 15th December 2018, 19:50 | Sky Sports
Ryan Searle makes his debut and he’s a lot of people’s pick (mine included) to have a big impact this year.
The bookies slightly favour him and I think he’ll do well but the nerves will be jangling with Searle not having played at this level before.
A tight match is likely with Burton not being a bad player by any means and this one could be very close. I'll back Searle to seal a 3-2 success at 7/2 (Bet365)
Keegan Brown v Karel Sedlacek | Saturday 15th December 2018, 20:30 | Sky Sports
Keegan Brown is the heavy favourite here with a good thing behind him and an opponent who hasn’t made any waves in recent times.
Brown’s stats are all superior and his 2018 puts him 140 places higher than Karel Sedlacek.
This one should be an easy ride for Brown but will that prove true? He's 5/4 (Bet365) to take a 3-0 victory and that's well worth a poke.
Best Bets
Ryan Searle v Stephen Burton – Ryan Searle to win 3-2 (7/2 Bet365)
Keegan Brown v Karel Sedlacek – Keegan Brown to win 3-0 (5/4 Bet365)
Double – Richard North and Toni Alcinas to win (1/1 Bet365)
