TOM SELWYN (@Tom_Selwyn) is back in the hot-seat to share his best Monday night football bet.

Houston Texans @ Cincinnati Bengals | Tuesday 01.30 | Sky Sports 1

A couple of years ago this would have been a big matchup as Houston and Cincinnati met in the playoffs for a couple of seasons, but not this time as the undefeated Bengals are sweeping all before them.

Compare them to the Texans who, despite being in the mix in the woeful AFC South, are having a tough season and this has the makings of a blowout. Rather than the handicap I’ll be taking the better odds and backing Cincinnati to lead at the end of every quarter in this Monday night game at 11/10 with Bet365.

Coming into this week, the Bengals have managed to achieve this feat in five of their eight games this season and in all but one of those five (Raiders in Week 1) the team they were facing now has a losing record, indicating that they are able to dominate the league’s poorer teams.

Despite them still being in the race for the AFC South, the Texans also have a losing record (3-5) and I would definitely qualify them as a poor team. They have a star on each side of the ball – DE J.J. Watt on defence and WR DeAndre Hopkins on offense – but outside of that they don’t really have much else to work with.

The Bengals on the other hand have a plethora of weapons on both sides of the ball and this is reflected in where they rank in the league. Offensively they are third in the league, averaging 28.6 points-per-game, and defensively they’re fourth, only giving up 17.8 points-per-game.

Comparing the two, I just can’t see Houston being able to keep pace with Cincinnati who I believe will jump out to a lead and not relinquish it to remain undefeated.
