Like Liverpool the night before, Manchester United have little to play for in their final Champions League group stage game. However, unlike Liverpool, I think there is a need for players to impress their manager and less of a necessity to rest players.

Their opponents on Wednesday night, Young Boys, are on a pretty poor run domestically, having won only one of their last five matches in the Swiss Super League, where they currently find themselves fourth in the table, nine points behind the league leaders.

Since their opening day victory against United in this competition, they’ve gained just a single point and two of their three defeats have been by more than a single goal.

I think this is the perfect opportunity for Cristiano Ronaldo to score his first goal under the leadership of Ralph Rangnick and expect a positive United performance here.
