THE biggest game in English football? Chris Graham (@chrisgraham79) takes a look at Saturday's big game from Old Trafford.
Manchester United v Liverpool | Saturday 17:30 | Sky Sports 1
There's all sorts of uncertainty, negativity and doubt surrounding this game. News overnight suggested that Wayne Rooney may miss this game and that very well may be the case. United's price has drifted from 19/20 into 21/20 on the basis of those rumours.
I can't be backing Manchester United at those cramped odds in their current position. They've taken seven points out of 12 this season but have looked far from impressive.
A dull opening day win over Tottenham was followed by an unspectacular victory over Villa, a dross 0-0 draw against Newcastle and a 2-1 defeat in Swansea. Louis Van Gaal's side just haven't clicked.
Liverpool have the same number of points and the same pattern this season with win, win, draw, loss. Their loss was a humbling one at home to West Ham two weeks ago. Before that they performed well at The Emirates to get a draw and beat Bournemouth and Stoke. You could make a case to say they've started the season better.
Both sides have lot to prove after those defeats two weeks ago and you can imagine this being a tight affair. No team have scored fewer goals than Liverpool in this season's Premier League while United have just one more in the bank with three overall.
At 5/2 I'm happy to back the draw. It almost feels like the weight of defeat would be heavier than the joy of victory here. Certainly for the home side. I'll chuck in No Goalscorer and 1-1 Correct Score picks as well.
