This game will undoubtably be overshadowed by the news that Sheffield United have sacked manager and boyhood Blade, Chris Wilder, and I struggle to see his former club looking solid when they visit the East Midlands on Sunday afternoon.
I opposed Leicester at Brighton last weekend and I would do the same thing again despite the fact that The Foxes earned a victory. It was a very close game and a draw would have probably been a fair reflection on the 90 minutes but the fact that Brendan Rodgers’s side were able to perform reasonably well without Harvey Barnes and James Maddison in their side shows that not only are they a good footballing side but they have the mental fortitude to cope without their two most creative influences.
With Sheffield United having just parted company with their manager there is a level of unpredictability about how they will perform but I am confident that they will set up in a similar manner to how we are used to and with that in mind I will take the away side to win and under 3.5 goals to be scored at 11/10 with Boylesports.
There haven’t been four goals or more in any of The Blades last 11 matches in all competitions and there have been three goals or fewer in 19 of their 22 losses in the Premier League this season. 11 of Leicester’s 16 victories in the top flight this term have also seen such a bet oblige so I think this is excellent value.
With few goals expected it is hard to find value in the goalscorer markets but I do like the look of John Lundstrum to be booked at 9/2 with SkyBet.
The Blades midfielder has six bookings and a red card in 23 games this term and I like the fact that referee Peter Bankes averages 3.45 cautions in the top flight this term, the fourth highest of the 19 active officials. I did consider George Baldock in this market but Lundstrum’s stats make him the more valuable option.
