IT'S one of the glamour ties of Wednesday night as Juventus host Man City. In-form @chrisgraham79 (@chrisgraham79) brings his thoughts to the WLB table.
Juventus v Man City | Wednesday 19:45 | BT Sport 2
Despite beginning this weekend at the top of the Premier League and this Champions League group it's hard to be hugely impressed by Man City this season.
In the Premier League they've been smashed up by Tottenham and Liverpool and perhaps even worse failed to beat Aston Villa. In the Champions League they've already qualified for the Last 16 but two of their three victories came via last minute goals.
At times I've felt an urge to shovel my savings on them winning the Premier League at around the evens mark (due to the sheer lack of any other serious candidate to win the league) then bottle it when I see some of these perplexing scorelines. They don't look a team to invest your total faith in.
Juventus, in an act of solidarity with Chelsea, gave their domestic challengers a great chance to take them on by winning just one of their opening six Serie A fixtures. Four wins in their last five have seen them move back into the Top 6 and I know my colleague Mark O'Haire is keen on them re-establishing their top spot.
The Old Lady are unbeaten in this Champions League group too and have already beaten City in Manchester. Home and away draws with Borussia Monchengladbach are the reason they've been overtaken in the section by their English rivals.
City have a host of injuries going into this game on Wednesday night with Vincent Kompany and David Silva amongst six senior players who will miss out. It's a real blow for sure but the lure of finishing top of the group and getting the top seeding should inspire them here.
Yes, despite City having already qualified for the Last 16 there's things to play for in this match. Juventus will go top with a win and put themselves in a great position to win the group.
I'm surprised to see Both Teams To Score chalked up as big as 10/11 with William Hill as I think it will land here. For starters, Bayern Munich are the only side to have won a European game in Turin in their last 42 matches so expect a bold showing from Juventus and on top of that Man City have scored in 15 of their last 16 Champions League group games.
